The name of the climat, which appeared in 1508, comes from "ruchot", a rock on the ground. In fact, limestone outcrops in this cru where we find murgers, old walls and brambles.

The wine produced here is often exceptional in its velvety and harmonious texture and regularly surpasses the Mazis and Charmes, probably a little under the influence of the winds of the Combe Lavaux, which exalts a fruitiness and florality.
